How far before travel can bookings be made?

Modified on Thu, 12 Sep, 2024 at 2:53 PM

Reservations for train travel can be made once the Train Operating Company has updated the booking system with availability.

Typically, ticket availability for Advance fares is set around 12 weeks prior to the travel date. While flexible fares might be accessible earlier than 12 weeks, seat reservations might not be.

Occasionally, fares for weekends may only be released just a few weeks in advance, often due to the need for the Train Operating Company to finalise engineering work schedules.
